Janis Bevan is based in East Sussex, with a nursing background and trained with the Association (arch) of registered colon hydrotherapy with over 14 years of experience. Colon Hydrotherapy/Irrigation is a warm internal bath. The colon is an extremely important organ and essential for good health. Situated in the abdomen and forming the final part of the digestive processes and elimination. Warm filtered water is introduced into the bowel which helps to remove gases, faeces and other undigested products to alleviate bloating and symptoms of IBS/constipation. Confidentiality, dignity and privacy is maintained throughout.

About me

Janis Bevan MACH RT recently retired general Nurse I have worked in healthcare since 1996, and am a registered general nurse with experience of working in both medical and surgical directives. I have a strong interest and belief in health promotion and disease prevention. This led me to train as a Colon Hydro therapist in 2007 at The National College of Colon Hydrotherapy with Dr Milo Siewert MD (Mexico) and Roger Groos B.Sc.On completing my training I was very fortunate to gain more experience working with Ann Blouet MACH, RT.
Ann although now retired was an eminent Colon Hydrotherapist and founder member of the Association and Register of Colon Hydrotherapists (formally the Colonic International Association). Ann and Roger taught together at their college – The National College of Colon Hydrotherapy (formally the European College). I have witnessed first hand the incredible benefits colon hydrotherapy can have on the whole body and mind.

Colon/ irrigation hydrotherapy treatment

A first treatment will involve taking a case history, thereafter an explanation of the procedure and what is involved during the treatment. Your well-being is monitored throughout, there is no need for any special measures before the treatment but ideally it is best to have taken a light meal.

The treatment lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes, during which time warm filtered water is gently introduced via the rectum and in some cases appropriate herbs may be used to enhance the treatment. You will be covered during the treatment so your modesty and dignity will be maintained at all times.

Following the treatment and the establishment of your bowel function it may be necessary to make some changes in your eating habits to encourage digestion/bowel to function more efficiently.

Having established the condition of your colon, recommendations will be made about further treatments. In certain situations it is very beneficial to have further sessions which will be tailored to your individual needs.

What our clients say

The idea of colonic’s attracted me but the idea felt invasive. The fact that Janis was a nurse gave me the courage to finally face it. I couldn’t have been more wrong, with Janis I felt in expert hands. She made me feel safe, explained everything to me and the procedure was surprisingly easy and comfortable. I felt fantastic after my colonic and will definitely return for the huge benefits of this wonderful treatment!
